A mother and the child who were admitted to the Infectious Disease Hospital in Angoda to be treated for COVID-19 have escaped the premises last night. 

The mother was a resident of Eheliyagoda and has now been missing since last night. However, the 2-year-old son has been located at a house in Eheliyagoda.

The police are in the process of conducting a special operation to locate the missing mother, who could potentially spread the virus.
